Abusive DRM, a big "♥♥♥♥ you" to PC users by selling a broken product then running, sketchy business models, half-baked games, just overall ♥♥♥♥. Then, you have companies like SquareEnix and WB Games, customer abuse at its finest. Their support is also great, especially in comparison to Valve, and for every screwup they make they have some kind of good thing to counteract it. If it weren't for their Maxis buyout, we never would have seen Spore, SimCity 3000/4, or The Sims. That, and it's easy to say that somehow they're singlehandedly responsible for Maxis' downfall, but they did delay the inevitable by a good 16 years. They've ditched microtransactions, they're not implementing community microtransaction markets at all, they're avoiding fake remasters altogether, I've heard great things recently about working conditions (most notably DICE LA), and they had a refund policy before it was cool (Great Game Guarantee). 2013 may have been a bad year for the company, but the reform movement they have going is something to applaud.

Origin's a much better client than it was back when it first launched, and the privacy concerns have been addressed, so I'd highly recommend downloading it, even if only for this game. Other games that have been on On the House:

For those of you who don't know what On the House is, it's a service EA has been running recently where anyone with a free Origin account can claim the game EA picks out every month or so, and when it's claimed, it's yours forever. NFS Most Wanted is free right now on Origin.
